Baisakhi Celebration – 11/04/2024

Saupin’s School, Panchkula, was brimming with joy and cultural vibrance as it celebrated the joyous festival of Baisakhi with great enthusiasm and fervour. The pre-primary students arrived dressed in traditional Punjabi attire, adding charm and cheer to the celebration. Carrying along their party tiffins, the little ones participated in a creative kite-making activity, filling their art files with colourful creations. As a special takeaway, each child received a traditional Punjabi Pankhi, symbolizing the essence of Punjab’s rich heritage.

The highlight of the day was an Inter-House Bhangra Competition, where students showcased energetic performances that echoed the cultural heartbeat of Punjab. The school premises were beautifully decorated with Baisakhi-themed décor, reflecting the vibrant and joyous mood of the harvest festival.

Dr. Raminder Pal Kaur, Principal of Saupin’s School, addressed the students, highlighting the significance of Baisakhi as not just a harvest festival but also a celebration of community, tradition, and gratitude. She encouraged students to cherish their cultural roots while embracing unity and harmony.
