A 15 days campaign was observed by Saupin’s School, Panchkula. Various activities were extensively carried out in the school on Swachhta. On Swachhta Shapath Day, the whole school came together and took a pledge to keep the school and its surroundings clean and hygienic. Swachhta Awareness Day was conducted wherein the teachers inspected the sanitary facilities of the school. Each and every corner was scrutinized. Green School Drive - Students were sensitized on the use of blue and green coloured garbage bins. Articles were made out of waste material by the Fine Arts teacher and shown to students. Swachhta Participation - This day was marked by conducting quiz, debates, essay writing and painting competition. A skit on swachhta was also showcased by students. Hand Wash Day - On this day the students were taught to wash their hands before and after every meals to maintain hygiene. Personal Hygiene - Audio Visual programmes were shown to students to motivate them towards cleanliness and hygiene. Community Participation Day - The students wrote various slogans and made posters on swachhta and went out in the vicinity to urge the people for keeping the surroundings clean. Swachhta School Exhibition Day - This day was marked by displaying all the exhibits made by the students. Swachhta Water Day - On this day the students were enlightened on the organic ways of purifying water by using alums and sand filters. Water borne diseases were discussed. Water Harvest Day - Students adapted rain water harvesting technique in school. Prize distribution Day - The students who performed well in all the activities were awarded with certificates of merit. Swachhta Hi Seva Day - Shramdaan was performed by students where they went out on a rally and took an initiative to clean their surroundings. In all, the campaign was successfully carried out by the students and teachers.
